I've admired the old Coatesville Train Station. I've walked in Pastorius Park in Chestnut Hill. I used to live on Corinthian Avenue which was the entrance to Girard College (Founders Hall Scene). I am now able to associate those aspects of the film with my personal knowledge and history. I really enjoyed your photo synopsis identifying the various locations of the various and quite detailed settings of the film. The preview for episode 5 shows New English Style Pizza in Marcus Hook, Pa! The McMenamin house is at 1839 Creek Road, Chadds Ford, PA. The pet store in Episode 1, where Mare buys a fish tank, was Pet Paradise in Boothwyn across from Dons. ![]() More scenes to come in those houses and the alley in between those houses in the Village in Hook. The “peeping Tom” neighbor was filmed in my backyard, in Marcus Hook on Cedar Street. The Carroll’s House was filmed in Marcus Hook on Maple Street. ![]() The house in the opening scene with the old people and the graffiti garage is in Marcus Hook on Maple Street. The pharmacy in episode 4 is Marcus Hook Pharmacy on 10th street, and looks like there is a scene at New English Pizza also on 10th Street coming in episode 5. I'm the same one that gave you Girard College for dinner and book signing. The scene where the girl is in the van is Edgemont Ave.īennies Tavern is the Old Christy's at 169 E Ridge Rd, Linwood, PA 19061. ![]() The exterior shot of the church in episode 4 is Holy Saviour in Linwood.īennie's is 9th and Sproul Streets in Chester, not Edgemont Ave. We actually live near there and watched the area being transformed for the filming. Also, Coatesville students were delayed returning to the Coatesville Intermediate School after in-person classes started because filming was still going on.Ĭertain scenes were filmed at the Gorgas Lane entrance of Wissahickon Valley Park in Roxborough. The signage still visible if you walk by the middle school according to a resident of East Fallowfield Township. The bar Mare and her partner were drinking at is the Sundance Saloon in Aston.Ī Coatesville Parent noted that part of the gym scenes was filmed at Coatesville Intermediate School without signage and the rest at South Brandywine Middle School with signage. In Episode 3, what bar was used for the scene with Kate and her drunk partner? The restaurant where the arrest takes place in episode 2 is the Cascata Caffe in Springfield. The apartment building where her best friend lived is in Chester county. The restaurant scene was also at Girard College in the catacombs. The outside of the cricket club is a building located on Girard College. Richard's role was recast and his side of the scene was in the same building as the exterior. Does anyone have a location for this?Īs far as the Philadelphia cricket club goes, Mares footage is at the Cricket club. The home where the Deacon lives (yellow building with blue trim) looks quite familiar. The restaurant scene in episode 3 really looks like the restaurant in the basement of the Chestnut Hill hotel. Thanks a lot, Mary! We can confirm that this is the bridge!Ĭould the restaurant in episode three be Bube's Brewery? Google images! I had dinner there once. The bridge appears to be the Brandywine Creek Bridge south of Route 1 on South Creek/Chadds Ford Road. Thank you, it looks very similar but it's not the same church.Ĭhurch interior: St Michael's Lutheran Church, 6671 Germantown Ave, Philadelphia.Ĭan’t say for certain, but the scene with Richard and Mare in the third episode in the restaurant kinda looks like the Catacombs restaurant in Bube’s Brewery in Mount Joy. The outside of the bar in the first episode may be the VFW in Ogden, but the inside is definitely the Star Bar in Marcus Hook.ĭoes anyone know where the restaurant in episode 3 (where Mare and Richard went on their date) is located? Why would you think the gym scene is Coatesville? You can drive by South Brandywine school today and see Easttown still on the gym windows. I was in the gym scene, is south Brandywine middle school located in Coatesville. ![]() It looks to me like it is Villa Maria's gym in Malvern. The gym scene could not be Coatesville High School unless they cut the size of the bleachers in half, added windows, and changed the hardwood floors and all of the colors from red and black to blue. I think the church is Saint John Vianney in Gladwyne. The exterior I have no idea what it is but the interior is 100% the Philly cricket club. Yes, the book club scene is filmed in the interior of the Philadelphia cricket club. no, it doesn't look like it, but thank you. The book scene is at the Philadelphia Cricket Club. None of the Hawks stuff was on the wall, that was all added in post. The gym scenes were filmed at Coatesville High School at 1445 Lincoln Highway in Coatesville. ![]()
*If you are going to do these, you must keep an even distribution of troops, as it does no good to sendan empty base to the enemy heartland.Ĥ) Concomitant Casualties: This is the spell I use the least. This helps build morale as the attackers hit your fortified base, and provides an poorly defended base for attacking. And attack just takes your base, but at that very moment, you switch in a base full of defenders, leaving the newly conquered base most likely closer to your vanguard of troops. *It can be quite useful when you are about to lose a base and charm is on cooldown. This is equally useful on Wilford's Production Transfer, for instance, but the cooldown durations do not make it as efficient. There is a delay in the troops deployment, and it is quite easy to use Exchange to cancel him getting the troops. Imagine having Cree on the ropes, sending in a big attack-what does he do? He drops 80+ troops with assault force. Now, this is really the one I don't see written about often. *It cancels abilities and spells on the base. *I find that on indefensible attacks, it is sometimes best to just go to their back line to attack where the large army came from while they take your base. *Limits are that you cannot usually exchange their starter base, so you have to be aware of these on the map *The obvious uses are when people send a big attack, you send a city to their back line to attack There are uses I just do not see people writing about Just remember that you risk building his morale by sending them back.ģ) Exchange: I think this is the spell I least understood frrom the guides and the one that made me want to help fellow up-and-comers. I personally perfer the morale buildup, but that might not be a good option at the time. *It is something to keep in mind when Marty-O Mindcontrolls NPC players towards your base. *It is not really efficient for Muoro's Unholy Attack, but it is kinda fun to see the skeletons run across the map You should be able to defend every attempt, and I largely just save this spell for just that. He will attack and try to empty your base, but Charm is on a significantly shorter cooldown. *This is a great solution to Pahom's Panic. The number of repelled troops and duration can change with artifacts. *A large enough force will get through this, so you have to be proactive with reinforcements. Most notibly, Chia's Rolling Stones cannot be charmed, and they will kill your defenders with the Charm ability up If troops are out of poisition, this is an easy way to repel an attack It is a high survivability skill at a relatively low tier. Imagine how powerful that would be.Ģ) Charm: I think this is why I started with Klotz. *Sadly, this cannot be used on Wilford's production transfer. If a player sends all their troops (you kinda learn to recognize the "tail" of all the troops being sent), you can turn there production to 0 while you mount an attack. *There are maps, 1v1, 3p and 4p, where you have a limited number of troops early. There are so many, troops that they will usually make it through towers. *This is a great ability to counter Stella's "Speed up Production." You basically match her in duration and cooldown, that not only increases your troops dramatically, but lowers hers. There are some marked uses that will abolsutely win games with just proper utilization of this ability It is not that I did not like the troops, I just considered it less powerful than the other abilities. Turncoats: I feel this was the ability I most underused early on. I just want to cover a little of what some of the guidees online have, but mainly to do this in order to cover what they did not put in there I chose to focus on Klotz as I learned the game because the play style was more to my liking as I learned the maps. I want to preface by saying I am just developing in the game, but I have a couple thousand games with Klotz, and I feel there were serious holes in the guides about him. ![]() Sometimes clipping an object slightly can cause your whole car to flip, gets kinda annoying sometimes So yeah I wish this game got more attention because it really is a fun game. There are special events with special tracks like figure of eight and speedways are also in the game - not going to forget the demolition derby events which are chaos but also satisfying when you slam into someone at high speed and they go flying into a wall. There is also the iconic stunt mode where you have minigames like Ski jump, darts, royal flush, stone skipping, basketball, football etc - you drive a car powered with rockets and have to eject the driver at a certain angle to get your score. The game literally becomes a rage game and you may get frustrated haha. The difficulty of the game ramps up as you progress through the game and trust me it does get quite difficult in the Level 3 stages of the classes, especially in Street where the AI rubberbanding is literally insane. Sofia Martinez, Jack Benton and Jason Walker are like the fastest opponents and there are many other characters. The AI opponents are all unique in how they drive, they are all driven by their own characters. I think I like it more than Burnout 3's OST. The OST is fantastic and full of rock, probably one of the best OST's i've ever listened to. In career mode you can upgrade your cars with parts like gearbox, engine upgrades, body upgrades etc. The gameplay is quite chaotic, nice mix of arcade/realistic handling, decent car sounds, excellent crash physics and damage models, the car models take inspiration from real life cars and mixes them up so they feel fresh and unique. Once you do that - you unlock a new category called grand finals, beat all the finale cups/championships there and you beat the game just like I did. Street has the fastest cars and the career mode is organised in these classes, beat all the races in those classes where in each class, there are 3 levels and in each of those levels is a set of cups/championships. The game has 3 classes: Derby Race Street. The game's performance is pretty much flawless, anything can run this game. 0.8 seems to be a good balance of having good sense of speed and actually looking somewhat 'normal'. ![]() ini settings of the widescreen fix because out of the box, the game has a high FOV, when you activate nitro in-game the FOV increases even more and it makes me feel nauseous. First things first, FlatOut 2 is about racing and crashing into your opponents, wrecking them.ĭownloaded it and first thing I did was install the FlatOut 2 widescreen fix from thirteenAG, since out of the box the game is stretched on modern displays. I actually also own FlatOut 2 physically on CD/DVD. Onto the actual review, I got this game on Steam a long while ago, I think it was a FlatOut complete collection pack. There's also FlatOut 4 by Kylotonn which is just mediocre in my opinion, it doesn't really capture the flatout vibe like the past games. I feel like the FlatOut series is considered in the 'obscure' category since not a lot of people know about it, but you can also argue that people do know about it thanks to the dumpster fire known as Flatout 3 developed by Team6 Studios (not the original developers) which has bought a bad reputation to the series so people will think the other games are also bad as well. Whenever people talk about the best PS2 racing games, Burnout 3 and Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2005) are 100% certain to come up, but I rarely see people include the FlatOut series in such lists. I’ve heard that the best way that they say to practice squeezing the right muscle groups is to imagine that you’re trying to crush a walnut between your asscheeks. The Viveza plug-in has been on my favorite list for a while and I think it’s actually one of the easiest plug-ins to use too. First off, I’m a big fan of Nik’s filters. ![]() It was just announced last week and already has a lot of chatter around the industry. There’s also a quick 2-minute video demo but I had a couple problems with the video. Now, since more and more of them seem to be integrated with Lightroom I figured I’d start picking away at some of the popular ones and doing a quick review on them. I see this all the time in comments, forums, and questions from people I meet. Plug-ins are getting really popular these days. ![]() Any points that have any of the reserved classification values will also be colored in a single color.
